Fortified by nearly fifty years of activity in different market segments La Leonessa is a global player with a footprint conceived to support its worldwide customer base. The passion and specialization of its employees, the continuous research for new solutions and challenges and the strong drive to innovation and to the product’s customization have worked together, during these decades, to make La Leonessa what is today, a company characterized by a deep knowledge of the technical details of each single application, eager to assist its clientele from the very initial phase of the project up to its definition and completion.

It was 1954 when Ferdinando Pasotti began to produce steel wheels and axles for agricultural trailers using surplus material from World War II. This was how FAD was founded, from which, in 1965, the adventure of the today known as La Leonessa Spa, leader on the market for the production of turntables and slewing bearings.

The determination to experiment and invent led to the expansion of our products, industrial roller and ball bearings, and the incorporation of the agricultural sector in the business areas. We never stopped to compete with the market also through investments and acquisitions.

In 2004 Leonessa North America was founded and in 2012 a Leonessa production plant was opened in Yancheng. In this way our family business have been able to build overtime
what is now a reality prominent in the industrial landscape.
